Identity Conny Lazo & Victoria Libucha

We will expand upon the topic of identity with a podcast series on identity & belonging in the modern world. The podcasts will feature guests representing the past, present and future of what it means to belong and how that affects our concept of self.

To dive into the past, we will interview a person who, like myself, grew up in more than one country. In the present, we will explore the most up-to-date academic viewpoints with a scholar. While for the future, we will tune into the mind of an individual who is currently creating an online space for a thriving community. ~The future is not created from the past, but made in the present.~ Written by host of the series Victoria Libucha.

In this podcast, Conny Lazo.

Conny Lazo, originally from Venezuela, has had a diverse life journey, residing in various countries such as the United States, France, India, and Brazil, before settling in the Netherlands. Currently, he has plans to return to France later this year. Conny believes that his early exposure to different cultures, languages, and ways of life has bestowed upon him a unique perspective and adaptability to new situations. Growing up in multiple countries has expanded his worldview, fostering an appreciation and respect for diverse cultures, beliefs, and values. However, he faces the challenge of finding a sense of belonging, which eludes him in the Netherlands but seems to resonate with him in France. France, to him, represents familiarity and comfort, a place where he feels most at ease.
